The SC12 will not melt at 14~15psi of boost but will melt if the boost is at more than 17psi sustaining it for a time. Burn a few of them suckers along the way. It creates a lot of heat in the process.
Unless you have more than 200k on the SC12, it will boost happily with a smaller SC pulley at 95mm diameter with no problems at all. The SC12 from the AFM and the MAP versions are one and the same. The only difference is the pulley from the AE92 and AE101 GZE is that the SC pulley is 5mm smaller.
But bear in mind the heat generated from the SC12 at that boost is hot and you need a real good intercooler to bring the temps down or detonation will set in. Stock IC will NOT do the job.
The GZE engine will withstand boost of 30psi happily whole day long with a turbo provided your fuel management is tune correctly. The only weak point from our experience is the conrod bearings that gave way and that blew a lot of ZEs. Get some nice aftermarket ones and the engine will last you a very long time.
