	| I'm with chris - my car is a 3" all the way through, with no cat and no resonators. All I have is a single muffler on the end (dont tell the epa), and it is suprisingly quiet - at idle you cant hear it.
 remember that at the end of the exhaust is where you want to make all your concessions - getting a quieter muffler on the end will result in better flow than putting on a more restrictive cat/another muffler close to the engine, where the gases are hotter and the flow is much faster
 
 I dont know what's wrong with your clutch, but my setup is quite similar (heavy plate, full-faced clutch) and the only time I occasionally cook it is on *hard* launches - it never slips when boost comes on
