I dunno about Australian KE70s etc. but the flat front is a standard pre-facelift (and after the bugeye/buzzy lights).
As far as the E71s are concerned the front does not fit. I've taken the panels off a KE70 and tried putting TE71s panels on it. It's not so much the fact that the guards are quite considerably longer it's because off the way the TE71's doors go into the front guard if you see what I mean. Just check out the some side-on pictures of the two and you'll get my drift.
