Sand blasting will change the surface tension of the metal. THis can lead to warping in panels. Also you need to clean the sand from whatever parts you have balsted. It will build up in areas with folded metal, so you need to go over the area with an air compresser to blow all the excess sand away. Also it will leave small undulations in the blasted area. For panels you will need to sand this out. So its probably not a good idea to sand blast the outside panels.
Maybe using glass beads would be OK. Good panel beaters and spray painters should have the low down.
