use the all alloy 3.4L 'mini-hemi' V8 from toyota - they came std in century's and have done so for 20odd years.
same weight as the rover V8, they use 5M pistons and with a little machining they take BFO chevy valves.
dellow have a bellhousing kit to adapt a supra 5spd to them as well.
the EKW group sell them for about $1500 for a good running engine - which i would refresh anyways - and they're in every state i believe.
