I think warming down a turbo charged engine is more for the turbo's sake rather than the engines. Since a sudden drop in temperature can have an adverse effect on metal. If you let the car cool down for a bit it will allow cooler oil to run through the tubro and cool it down a little so when you do actually turn the car off the drop in temp isn't so great.. correct me if I'm worng though
