i think you should put new fuses in anyway as when they get old they stuff up like mine wern't blown but wouldn't alow any current to flow through then while i was playing around with them the metal end cap just fell off, also the fuse element is connected by solder so although the fuse might not be blown it may not be alowing much current through as when solder gets old its resistence tends to rise and rise due to heating and cooling of it all the time.

thats why often with old tv's when they start playing up and you take them in to get repaired all they do is resolder all the joins and that fixes them,
