My '92 twin turbo soarer has always had relatively light steering, but recently I swapped over from generic branded 235/45/17's to Dunlop FM901's of the same dimensions and the car now steers like soap and tracks left or right badly following any deviations in the road's surface. Admittedly I was only running 34 psi on the old tyres and the dealer when fitting the Dunlops recommended and inflated them to 40 psi as they said the lower pressure I was originally running contributed to their early wear.
Has anyone else out there experienced anything similar on a Soarer? Any fixes you can recommend to help a brother out...?
