i thought letting the turbo cool was more to stop the oil burning up in the galleries of the turbo??
i agree with MrShin, best idea is just to drive nicely for the last couple of minutes... the idea being to slightly reduce overall temps and temp differentials..

if you drive hard then shut off, you get more heat soak from exhaust etc, and this soak may just be enough to start burning oil etc, (the oil temp will rise AFTER you shut the engine off!)
