nice one phil - engine bay not so filthy now
i think you should have left the camp metal - or painted in black.
to get the raised lettering in black:
-find a friendly art student doing print making and borrow one of their 2" wide hard rubber rollers (used for inking-up metal and vinyl plates)
-squirt/spray black paint onto a small pool on a very clean sheet of glass
-build up enuf paint so it's tacky and will coat the roller
-roll he paint onto the roller to evenly coat it
-gently roll the paint off onto the lettering (roll on many light coats otherwise you'll squeeze paint over the edges and it will look crap)
is much easier than masking out the letter shapes just so you can spray them.
