Its probably been ported for use with a single entry CT26 (7MGTE type), as their inlet size matches that. You will notice that even the factory CT20 gasket is that size, not the size of the smaller entry into the CT20 turbo.
If you think it contributed to the gasket failing, you should just get a standard 3TGTE exhaust manifold (like the second one in your picture).
