or you buy an apple
<http://www.apple.com.au/imac/>
or
<http://www.apple.com.au/powermac/>
with a super drive
<http://www.apple.com.au/imac/superdrive.html>
or
<http://www.apple.com.au/powermac/specs.html>
and run iDVD
<http://www.apple.com.au/ilife/idvd/>
to burn/create your DVD platey shows ...or simply drag-n-drop in the OS directly to make data DVDs
You can capture direcly from any video camera that has firewire interface.
Otherwise, you buy box to convert analog video to firewire. <ht.com.au> sell a bottom of the range canopus convertor for about $360, but any digital video convertor from them <www.canopus-aust.com> will do the trick.
btw: i'm not related to any of these companies, i just like using apple.
and why spend all this cash? because it works... no driver conflicts to worry about, no updates & patches to suit each motherboard, just plug it in and go ...
