Thu, 01 April 2004 06:27 Hi all, I need to 'shorten' the oil filter on my 20 Valve 4AGE to allow for some 2" custom extractors. My current extractor design is setup to make all 4 primaries the same length but unfortunately, they now run through the standard factory oil filter. I need to shorten the filter by about 50mm so was thinking of either installing a 90 degree filter adaptor, finding a shorter after market filter adaptor block, or going for a remote filter setup. Does anyone have any simple ideas of how I could reduce the amount that the filter and stock adaptors 'stick out' from the engine block ? The factory filter blocks are quite long.
