I had the same prob. in my Astina SP...... I removed the sunroof sanded it down then went at the rust with a wire brush then covered the specs of rust with some weird "rust preventer & remover" i waited till it changed color applied bog to the imperfections then undercoated and sprayed it this took me less then a day and the rust never came back
With the fibreglass idea..... i believe Jetspeed Motorsport can do this as they can fibreglass anything
