THat 'T-VIS' thing is part of either the idle or tvis VSV (vacuum switching valve) glueing it back together should be okay as long as you don't use too much glue and block up the hole.
If that crack is on your intake manifold, it's probably not cheap to get it welded (being aluminium). If it's your exhaust, try and pick up some off the shelf extractors because the standard exhaust isn't anything to write home about
I'll have a look tonight maybe at where those clips go etc.
I just don't want to ask how you managed to bust up so much stuff! Here's hoping you are a little more careful with the rest of the rebuild
You could've picked up a second hand lower timing belt cover for about 20.
While you've got the head off. Make sure that you get the bucket shims adjusted, replace the cam shaft seals and put on a new timing belt!
Also check the distributor housing. I've seen so many of these things break near the base of the shaft housing it's not funny. It's more aluminium welding if it has
My rebuild would have cost me a similar amount all up in terms of parts (and labour for head work), which included new engine bearing, new seals, new piston rings etc...the rear main seal and timing belt pulleys blew the cost out to hell afterwards because i didn't replace them while I had the car apart and didn't have time to do the job myself. I'm kicking myself about that to this day
