 Track/Training Days where/when/how

Guys,
I really want to get involved in more track stuff yet have almost no experience (that isn't to say I am a crap driver, but just my track stuff is rather, uh, limited) and have researched up the following people and am thinking about going on one of these courses:

They are VERY expensive though.
What I would love to know is there like a CAMS affiliated club that runs track days/motorkahanas which are not too intense and where perhaps I could get some tips and training off memebers?
I know quite a few clubs run, "try it for a day" kind of days, and I would like to do this, but also be able to receive some instruction along the way.
I know quite a lot of you out here do regularly go to stuff like this so if you could point in the right direction I would be SOOOooo grateful!
