The other week I was driving along and saw a "traffic hazard ahead" sign, no change of speed limit or anything else...I slowed donwn anyways the road was a little rough just ahead of the sign, but not really worthy of a sign in my opinion...then back up to 80kph then some 400m down the road from the sign I see the actual hazard - a 2+ inch lip in the road where they are re-sealing. I slow down as quickly as possible, but still hit this lip at about 65-70 bang, bent my lovely TRD/Rays eng rim. NOT FUCKING HAPPY JAN!!!

Several points have to be raised:

*The signposting was completly inaccurate.

*How can they go leaving a lip like that in a major road? A trailer of aggregate would have made it safer.

*Surely a lip of that size has the potential to not only damagae cars, but be quite dangerous.

Has anyone had any success repairing such damage?? the rim is bent for about 10cm and not bad enough to deflate the tyre.
