3TGTE Auto Gearbox Will it fit my Cressida ?

Cressida box is on its way out i think wont go into overdrive and when it does it jumps in and out.. Which would mean there is a problem in the valve body...
Now, i have a Auto Gearbox from a 3TGTE 1984 Celica, To my nest knowlege the gearboxes are compatable just use the Mx62 bellhousing ?
few other questions i have,
Is the 84 Celica 3TGTE Box a 3sp with a overdrive ? or 3sp with no overdrive ?
