Yeah a bigger carby will make your 18R go better, but it depends on what condition it's in at the moment. My 18R has low comp on no.1 cylinder, but it still goes better than a standard 18R. Mine has a weber and extractors. The last time it was put on the dyno it made 43KW at the wheels. It's definitely dropped since then though.
