rear fill is simply that...fill. you have base which covers the frequency range between roughly 20Hz - ~180Hz
your fronts will cover the upper from ~150Hz - 15kHz
the rears in most compeditive cars are often just run of the mill 6 inch co-axials to fill the void of the car. The front is where it is all at.
Co-axials are where the woofer and the tweeter are located on the same axis (ie CO-axial) Splits are where the woofer and tweeter are separate and can be mounted in separate locations.
In a perfect setup Co-axial speakers are a better option if you can achive the right location setup, however in a car this is very difficult without alot of custom work or High end headunits and digital converters. And a Supra isn't the best to start with (in terms of standard speaker locations)
Keep the standard speakers for the rear. concentrate your dough on the front speakers (and installation if deamed required)
run the front and sub off the amp and rear off the deck.
You'll be happier with the results.
