Sorry to drag up the old thread buuuut ....
thanx for the information rob_RA40, sideshow and twincam_ke20. I have been looking into it. Already got the sills just need to get some gas for my welder and a decent primer.
It runs!!!! Took the plugs out. mmm, rather new. In fact, the entire ignition seems pretty new. Hand cranked it for a bit with some WD40 down the cylinders (fair bit of rust in no2). Metho in the carb, and broooooom! off she went. Doesnt even blow smoke! (ok, maybe there's no oil in there (: )
What a buy, Im hopefull i can clean up the engine bay and get it on the road with the std engine. In my experience, it makes getting the legals for your modifications so much easier.
looking into the brakes, they are seriously shonky, but the handbrake is reliable enough to drive it around the block
4AGZE front cut is all disassembled, but the engine still needs some work before I consider putting it in. Dont really know which gearbox to use. I have a 4AGE sprinter gearbox here (T50?) but I really want a W58 setup.
Esteban!
