Sat, 17 April 2004 12:41 I did a 2JZGE into a Corona Mk2 and am in the midst of a 1UZ into a 1966 Crown. I think they're both pretty unusual conversions. It seems clear to me that most of the angst has arisen from the open arms approach of the forums. I have noticed the influx of cretins to be particularly high during school holidays. This promotes repitition. We're all sick of the endless "Will a 1GGTE fit into an RA23 Celica?" questions. The supply of information is thankless, particularly by the children that frequent these forums. The solution is not to provide tech articles - there is a plethora of information out there already, and can also be sourced readily by attending the club (admittedly not easy if you are interstate). I'd dare suggest that the best way to tidy the place up would be to make it open to financial members only. That way you can screen the newbs. Children then have to ask their parents to give credit card details and the others put there money where their mouth is. Of course, the club then runs the risk of being introverted and not open to new members. Being hopeless at computers, I have no idea if that is possible. [Report message to a moderator]
