no problem ANYONE interested in a sound off please email me directly celicamad@kooee.com.au.

if we can get 15 definate entrants(that is entry form and money paid PRIOR to jan 31st 2005 )

we will hold a sound off .cost will be $25 per car .

3 trophies will be awarded

This would held at the show n shine after judging of the show n shine .

if we cant get 15 entrants then its hardly worth running

Regarding these other events(auto salon etc) THEY are full profit events .
with enormous budgets with over 30 PAID organisers.
They have hundreds of entrants and HUGE sponsorship

this year two of us did 90% of the work and we are currently a 3 man team .ALL organisers have to donate thier time and usually money (phone calls ,petrol,etc)

EVEN if we could find a suitable course in Dubbo to run these events the insurance costs per event have been quoted as high as $10,000 .dont worry we are still looking at ways to do this

even drag racing has to be run under dubbo city car club .

This year we had to get incorpoation form bank accounts ,do the webpage ,t shirt design and trophies ...WITH TWO PEOPLE...and some help from phill and craig each getting a few sponsors (thanks guys) Very Happy

Grant had HUGE work commitments and gave MORE time than he really had .he drove to Dubbo on friady night collected the judging sheets on saturday and went home sat afternoon .
spent 4.5 hours tallying judging sheets .then worked on sunday ..... .not to mention entry forms, photcopying etc what a legend Smile

in one year the event has literally doubled in size .
Sponsorship was almost tripled and as the event grows we can ask sponsors for more money .
its difficult to convince a sponsor to pay more than than $400 we currently charge for a 60 car event

its all about $$$$$$$$$$ over $8,000 in income was generated for the event this year . we needed every cent of it

We need to find a venue (this MUST be a CAMS approved track to get insurance),raise funds for insurance ,find independant judges .make up judging sheets .
hire timing gear(go to whoa )

so to adhere to such a schedule a venue must be found that has
1 an andra approved dragstrip
2 a cams aproved motorkhana course or racetrack
3 we can afford

i assume this means you are prepared to help with all this .Your help would be grealty appreciated .There are currently openings in the organisers team .
with Matt Bentley already coming on board to help next year.

An event co-ordinator must be preapred to put around 5- 10 hours per week into sponsorship ,bookwork ,meetings etc
