Sat, 31 August 2002 15:12 The fuseable link is those 2 main wires running off the positive batery teminal, and are used to power the whole car. They will melt and open circuit if too much current is allowed to flow, (if you have a short). OK, this is what you may have done: The positive battery wire going to the starter may have been touching your exhuast, and shorted onto the body when you used the spanner. Just a guess.
