peewee Forums Junkie Location: adelaide Registered: April 2003	Re: Join the Ambulance Sceme Sun, 18 April 2004 12:05 serious accidents/life threatening type emergencies don't cost you a cent. that is, if your injuries dictate that it is not safe for you to travel any other way then you get it for free. i know cos i took my brother to a hospital with a killer headache, turned out it was an annuerism, and he had to be ambo'd about 40 minutes to a more suitable hospital. a mate also had a car crash in outback type land and had serious head injuries, got ambulance for about 500km and didn't pay a cent. tho that is SA, other states i guess would differ [Report message to a moderator]
