Sat, 31 August 2002 20:14 GIN51E, you are on the money... it was all over the news quite a while back. all police vehicles in NSW which are used for the purpose of highway patrol/pursuit are fitted with a calibrated spedometer, the face of which is marked in 2km/h increments. this has been done for 20 years or more. have a look at an interceptor... the WRX spedometer refit was dodgy, and the NSW police got busted for it. also, bar a very few operating in more remote regional areas, all highway patrol/pursuit vehicles use autos, as Johnny pointed out. doubt this would help with performance. but how else do they eat, wank, talk on the radio and drive at the same time? these police were once a service to the community... now they are a service to the treasury. ...and Cool1, take a chill pill... nothing wrong with a good edjamucashun! you shouldn't have been in such a hurry to get out of school yourself... might've helped your "wrighting"... just joking, champ... don't drive angry!
