More bloody diff questions Sun, 01 September 2002 12:02 Go to previous message
Ok.

i am considering on doing a diff conversion on my RA40 if the cost isnt going to be to much.

what i am after is basicly a LSD rear end, strength is realy all that important as the stock celica diff has held up well so far.

i have read somewhere on here (or the old forums) that a hilux diff basicly slots straight in to the rear end of a RA40 and that they are only like 15 mm wider than the stock celica diff.

what sort of welding and modifications have to be done to a hilux diff ( G series im assuming) to get it to bolt straight in with not to many problems.

how much are the mods to get them to fit normally worth???

also does the handbrake cable and brake lines hok straight up with no problems and do the drums fit inside a 14 inch rim? and is the stud pattern the same?

any other difs that require minimal mods to fit???

How much would i be looking at for a complete conversion if i fit it myself???

thanks
