Well, i just got my car transferred from QLD to NSW. My rego had run out, so this is what I did.
1. Get blue slip. You should know how to do that.  ($80)
2. Take blue slip into your local AAMI or NRMA (or whereever else does one) and get green slip. ($575)
3. Take blue slip, green slip, receipt, etc into RTA and get rego ($ depend on what sort of number plate you want).
If you want a custom plate order it early because it takes 2 weeks to come through.
