I checked the coil packs today. Only to find, once I had unscrewed the cover, that the rack holding the 2 coil packs into place on the front cylinders was rocking about willy nilly and not bolted in properly.

So after bolting it in so that they were firmly in place, took the car for a drive and noticed that it was running better, and that it wasnt holding back anymore on full boost.

However, I thought this had fixed the idling problem as well since after I started it for the first time it was idling steady as. Drove down to the shops, went shopping, came back, started the car and then the idling problem started again.

Got home and checked the rack which was stil nice and firm.

Thus far, the major problem has gone (but I havent driven it that much) but the idling problem has not. Could this be something to do with the ECU ? Or could it still be spark plug related ? or the problem I hope it is NOT, fuel related ?
