PersonX rostered for the weekend was sick on Wednesday. Main office calls and asks if the personX is sick on Friday would I work. I said if PersonX is sick (like hospital sick) and they couldn't find anyone else, then I might consider it but that I would need to know later that day as I had plans for Friday (driving to Dubbo). No phone call from main office and I get the answering machine everytime I call. Thursday, PersonX is at work. PersonX rushes over to me and says, "Thanks for working for me tomorrow." I said,"Er, no, not quite right. I'm off to Dubbo tomorrow." PersonX said,"I'm on a plane this afternoon." Me angry. I try to ring the main office and get the answering machine. I had to work Friday. I was wined, dined and bent over the bonnet of a car. However I didn't know for how many hours I was supposed to work as they never rang me to confirm my start and finish times. So I slugged work for a 14 hour shift at double time and a half. [Report message to a moderator]
