blake, i have to agree with these guys actually, stick with the GTE conversion - its tried, proven, and makes good power. if you run a low boost setup with intercooled idea, and stick to PULP dishwashing liquid at best you'll keep things in check.
that said ;
an sc14 pushing a very small amount of boost into your 7M will be working very hard - if you don't intercool it, you'll be pushing hot air temps into your engine, which, won't be very beneficial - i know the commodore fraternity have done this with limited success at b/w 2-4psi - hardly worth it.
those pictures of the eaton m90 series blower, sure, look nice, but, thats a big belt and i don't spot a belt tensioner, and, again, what about some form of intercooling.
whilst a PD blower can displace some air from 0 RPM, it does get inefficient up top, and, if not intercooled, your power can go backwards depending on your application at high RPM - a turbo such as a CT26 suited to the 7M will help avoid this.
FWIW kristian from japanese imports has a whole heap of 7M turbo gear available...
