Was speaking to someone today about the shroud and apparently because of the resistance of air going through the actual core of the radiator the opening at the back (in the shroud) only needs to be like 1/6 the surface area of the actual radiator before it becomes any hindrance (wow).
Have not properly measured my core yet, but rough measurements say it's 12" from top to bottom, so will probably get a 10" fan (the Davies Craig 10" fan is 11.5" tall including the built in shroud). The radiator is only slightly wider than it is tall so should be heaps more than 1/6, should be more than enough
So will probably make one similar to the one in the pic above. Shouldn't be hard, just make an aluminium box and cut a big round hole
Ben: I'll measure everything up and maybe give it a go, if I have dramas I'll let you know, but THANKS HEAPS for the offer BTW Hows that wiring going? If you need help I'll try to come round once my car is on the road (hopefully in the next week or two)
