Sat, 24 April 2004 10:02 In my experience I have found that prices for brake parts vary more than prices for most other automotive parts. As an example, I have had calipers rebuilt for a few cars in my time. By numerous shops I was quoted over twice the price I ended up paying. Stick away from chain and big name looking stores... go for something generic like Slacks Creek Brake and Clutch (QLD, sure there will be someone like this locally for all forum readers). I paid $120ea for a pair of Land Cruiser calipers to be cleaned reco'd and painted, including new pistons, seal kits and bleed nipples... I was quoted $120 plus $22ea per piston by another shop, and in the same vicinity by two others. Shop around [Report message to a moderator]
