I have made enquiries with the Commander, Traffic Technology Section, Traffic Services. He has advised that the "NSW Police trialed a number of vehicles recently including Subaru units. At this stage NSW Police does not intend to purchase vehicles other than the Aust built Holden/Ford and this is not to say we are not looking at other vehicle in the future, media reports would have the public believe that the WRX vehicles were not continued due to speedometer malfunctions, this is not the case".
