alright i got some info from HARE motorsports on this conversion
here is a quick cut and paste:

It is not an easy upgrade. We still have not performed it yet as we are
still building the engine (requires lots of money). We can do the install or
supply the parts, but the job requires:
1. Custom mounts to fit the engine
2. We don't know yet if the gearbox of the starlet will fit, it should,
3. Complete custom engine bay electrical wiring (~$2,000) as the engine is
sequential injection and has extra features such as VVT-i
4. New engine ECU, MoTec costing around $5,000.00 including installation,
5. Ancillary work also needs to be done, Air Filter plumbing, fuel lines
etc....
So although its an excellent upgrade, engine standard around the 150kW, it
will be quite expensive, so be prepared to spend alot of money. We are
hoping with our race engine to get around the 220kW, but that will cost us
around $50k.
