Ok here goes, I have found 2 things in my supra interior wich i can't work out what they are or what they do. They have me stumped.
One of them is a button labbled "A/D" wich is right next to the fog light switch. Turning it on doesn't seem to do anything noticable. My best guess was that it was an "automatic dimmer"

Auto/Drive AKA cruise controll on US models... yours dosent have the main switch on the steering wheel?

The other thing is a small sensor (looks more like a tiny camera lens) wich is located on the passenger side right up in between the dash and windscreen, directly under the wiper. I tried to take it out but it's connected by wires and looks like it's supposed to be there for some purpose. but what purpose?

Its actualy for the aircon to detect strong sunlight thru the windscfeen IE heat and it turns the aircon up

My best guess was it senses when it's raining and makes your wipers go on. Or it was the sensor for the "A/D" button for sensing when to auto dim the headlights.
It's bugging me, and i won't be satisfied until i find out what they are.
