Just wondering what the story was with dropping a 20valve 4age in to a '97 starlet.. anyone know what may be involved with such a conversion? Any url's would be great, thanks!

Good friend of mine, Dave Loftus is the only one I know of in Sydney.... Not and easy conversion.

Also as far as I know the 20 valve silvertops don't have vvt-i. Neither do the blacktops am I correct?

No... they BOTH have VVt-i-> Variable Valve Timing, you may be thinking of VVtL-i->Variable Valve Timing and Lift.
