There is no reason that a piggyback style ECU won't work with a 4AGE. Something lik ethe Xede processor should do the job quite nicely.
Otherwise, Mr Shin summed it up pretty well. Lets face it When did you ever here of the best performance being acheived by the lowest bidder ?? 
If you want to contact me directly I can offer you some more opinions but am reluctant to do so onthe forums. I work at a Performance car workshop but refrain from "advertising" the business on these forums. We tune ALL types of ECU so can suggests what best for your car and your budget. NOT just a particular brand we sell.
