Unless another of the 1UZs came with the hydraulic fan (Unlikely, as the Crown definitely came with a clutch fan and the Celsior came with a thermo), and, unless another of the 1UZs came with an "angled straight down" oil filter (Crown used a remote filter and the Celsior came with one which angled towards the front of the engine), then yes, I'm sure I got a Soarer engine and it is definitely front sump...It's gone pretty much straight onto the existing cross-member. If anyone has (quantifiable) info to the contrary, I'm all ears. [Report message to a moderator]
