Well there's some stupid advice. Don't ever believe anything you read on the internet 
A claim of $750 would barely even be worth making, especially for a (I am making an assumption here based on the average age of Toymods punters) young driver. Add to that if f*cks your insurance history and it's a fantastic idea.
Believe me - I have delivered pizzas, been in accidents, and work for an insurance company. I know all the angles  That said, most pizza places offer their own insurance, in which case you should definitely claim off that (when I delivered pizzas all those years ago, it was $2/week deducted from every pay).
Otherwise, better off paying cash for a small claim like that. Sucks, but at least it'll teach you how to drive and you won't wreck your chances of insuring a half-decent car in future.
Any minor damage on a car is still going to cost a reasonable bit of money. $750, to me, is a reasonable amount for even the smallest mark on a car. The main cost, you will most likely find, is R&R (labour).
