You can get a 2TG carby manifold to fit your TA22 but you have to weld on 'eyelets' because the bolt pattern is different from the 2T-G head.
So yes it is much work.

And the last question should be in the 'parts for sale' area, not tech & conversions.

I think this stuff has been covered before (I think I asked it once!)
