At $2500 the final price registered and on-road here in Australia will work out around $6500. Other costs include 10% GST, 15% duty, shipping about $800, degass of a/c about $200, wharf and customs charges about $500 plus broker fee. When it gets here you will also need to fit side intrusion bars, child restraints, unleaded filler neck and fit a flat mirror on the drivers side (in place of the convex mirror). All that usually works out to about $1000 depending on the enginner and how much you are willing to do yourself. Also add another $350 for gassing with 134a.
Importing and registering a Jap import is not as cheap as people first think!
