Are your headlights running through relays?
If not it is advisable to fit them as there will be extra load on the headlight wiring/switching which will cause premature failure. The added bonus of relays when wired correctly is a better power supply to the headlights giving a brighter light.

i'm going to change it to low beam on both and hi beam on both while i'm here - far better lighting setup.
