WEL I have some good news, I finally got through to an RTA employee without two bungholes and a deformed head and he advised me while I will have to do all the necessary tests again I will go back onto my blacks after completion...you little ripper...
rvrolla, while I am not going to try and defend my actions of driving drunk and subsequently driving without a license as I knew at the time it was stupid. What I do have a problem with is the fact I would have learnt the same lesson with 1 year, nobody thankfully was hurt and no property damaged. I was picked up by cops calling on the next door neighbors domestic while they saw me get out of the car, traveling the length of my street home...STILL STUPID I UNDERSTAND.. To be honest it has been the best learning curve of my life, I landed a job in sales recruitment in Sydney and was earning over 100k a year, and a year ago moved to Melbourne to set up my own company...without this happening I wouldnt have achieved these things...however I could have, like a lot of other people lost a good job and fallen into serious depression, and subsequently lived off the government,,,this is where I see the punishment of anything over a year stupid for offenses within this category..If the other laws made sense I wouldnt have a problem but they dont! And are generally draconic..I have placed roles within the RTA and dealt quite extensively with their senior management, and the general way of thinking is not only very sheltered but quite backward.This is where my frustration stems from.
