Is the base of the antenna earthed to the guard sufficiently? Is the plug inserted into the radio fully? Is the coax between the antenna and the radio in ok condition?
Have you replaced the suppressors that were fitted from the factory as they do fail after a while.
What kind of interference is it? What does it sound like?
