Depends what sort of noise you're getting through the radio.

- If it's just static it's either a bad earth or there's a problem with the aerial (maybe not connected properly).
- If it's a ticking noise which increases with RPM it's ignition related, probably old spark plug leads.
- If it's a whining noise it's most likely the alternator.
