It's the standard RA-23 radiator, & it's been cleaned etc and is in very good nick.
gt20v: I underdstand how it's meant to work, it just doesn't like it should. There can be no way the 'stat isn't working properly, I've replaced it enough times.
From the way I see it, the water in the motor is at 82 (or close enough) and starts flowing out, and the water coming into the motor from the radiator is much cooler & manages to bring down the temp at the temp probe (other end of the motor to the 'stat).
