Sun, 16 May 2004 11:07 If you let them get low on oil they tend to start using more oil. I think maybe due to oil getting hotter as there is less in system, hence becoming thinner and burning more. Good policy to check it every few weeks or month keeping it close to full . 7000kms is a fair bit if you've been doing some hard driving but it does seem you're using more oil than you should be 3mm over fill..that ain't much...you were probably 3cm under full before .
