DAMAGE PICS Mon, 17 May 2004 04:11 I was gonna mention that, but I thought it might end up being a bit of an essay. You'd have to take into consideration the movement of the tailshaft with the diff though (only with live axle of course), where the shaft goes into the box it's not going to be moving around too much, as the gearbox is pretty solidly mounted, but the closer you get to the diff the more up & down travel the shaft will have when it moves with the rear suspension. So it would need to have a fairly larger diameter than the front one, which might be limited by space in the tunnel, plus 2 loops will make it a bitch to get the tailshaft in & out! Otherwise I'm sure there'd be plenty of diff shops out there with supra 5 speed yokes to suit readily available big fuck off unis, and diff flanges to take the same unis (for any common upgrade diff, eg. hilux, which chances are you'd need anyway), which would make a really strong custom tailshaft a not too expensive proposition. That's if you've got the diff though.... [Report message to a moderator]
