OK, I am a mechanic and just stripped down and rebuild a 2T carbie and tuned in on the car.
From the drivers side, the front screw is the idle mixture screw. If this is too far open, the car will run fine but you will go through alot of fuel. Running Premium is probably a waste also on this engine, normal unleaded is fine. This idle mixture screw should be screwed closed (lightly), then backed off 1-1/2 turns to start with. You can then adjust by ear, so the engine is running just slighlty slower than the fastest position.
The middle screw is the idle speed. It acts on a throttle stop, to keep the throttle cracked open to idle. Adjust this however you like, but probably so the engine runs at about 800rpm, or at 1000rpm if you have mods.
The left screw adjusts the position of the choke breaker. When you floor it, the choke is opened at bit by this lever if it isn't already open. Don't worry about this one much.
